friends got a 95 honda, model escapes me right now, but its got sun roof with power windows and locks. lx maybe? idk but its got stock 6.5's all around.

but anyway im trying to get the doors off to install some new speakers in his ride. i easily found all the screws holding it in place, just cant seem to figure out how to pop out the window button and the handle piece that opens the door, so i can take the door off.

now the door has a removal speaker grill, but it would be hella easier to mount the mdf baffle for the mids of it wast there.

any help would be appreciated. i tried searching but nothing about this specific question popped up. thanks in advance.

yeah i already took that one out, try jiggling both pieces around to fit them through the holes but doest seem like they would fit. am i missing something here or is there like a certain way to slide the door off maybe?

on my 96 LX I take the metal rod out of the handle. Theres a small plastic piece holding it in, you need to rotate it off by pushing it with a screw driver and then it lifts up and out. The wire for the window switch unplugs.

well if nobody knows anything bout it then i guess i im on to the next Q. what type of crew or other way would you prefer to mount a baffle to the door for a mid? i was thinking of pre drilling, then using a metal self tapping screw. would that hold?

its hard to see up there but i will try that out, sounds weird how the rod would have to come out but i'll see if thats it. thanks!!

come on now, this is one of the most active forums of car audio and nobody seems to know the interior of late model hondas? let alone of the best way to mount some mid baffles?

i knew i was better off waiting for an answer on ssa or caraudiojinkies. less traffic yes, but way more people who know there stuff compared to all the bs on here.

as all doors have the metal rods, i honestly didt look close enough to see if it was detachable. thanks again! i thought i would be working on it again tonight, at last hopefully tomorrow.
