Well got myself a nice little Denon HT setup. Just have no idea where to connect the RCA's etc I want if possible to have sound during Regular TV and Movies. In pictures below very top box is my cable box. Below that is DVD player and last one is main reciever. and other picture is back of my TV. If someone coule please help me maybe make a diagram of where each RCA goes I would appreciate it. could possible send you 5$ if you can maybe draw on my pictures below and show me where to plug each etc. Would appreciate any help thanks.

Top RCA on cable box.....looks black. That goes to the orange one marked coax1 on the denon //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

That'll give you surround for cable tv.

ok cool. how bout dvd's what do i connect from the dvd player to the main reciever..?

optical from TV to receiver for sound since you only have one optical IN on your reciever.

component IN from DVD to Receiver for video

component OUT from Reciever to TV for video

leave your RF (cable) from the cable box plugged into the TV from the cable box. then run the optical OUT from the TV to the receiver. this will give the best digital sound out of anything you plug INTO your tv.

dvd to TV (component hookup for video) for digital audio use the black plug labeled (COAX) out to the orange COAX IN on the receiver. Or just run red/white rcas from the dvd along with the component video to the tv and run the single optical audio out from the tv to the receiver.

If you are going to use the digital inputs(which is a good idea), make sure you use a digital coax cable and not just a regular rca cable.

or get a dvd with hdmi out and a receiver that acutally supports HD audio

DOes your TV have HDMI on it , i cant tell from the pics, it looks like it on the far left, but the picture sucks

And then use the corresponding button on the receiver/remote to use those inputs.

I got like 3 set of RCA's / 1 set thats blue/red/green and like 3 S Video cables.. and a Optical cable
