Sounds like you got a good plan then. I thought about redoing my carpet, but since i plan on having roomates, dogs, and parties i have decided against doing that until i either settle down, or get ready to sell. No point in buying carpet im just going to fck up again. Its not that its ratty either, just stained so im thinking im going to spend a hundred or so and steam the crap outta them to make them look atleast a little better.

Replace the pink and puke green carpets asap!
it's in hte list of things to do my friend

yea that's why i did the living room hardwood.. and the hallways tile.....

we where just gunna leave it and have a 70's themed party.. haha

Ya, i think i have hardwood somewhere under mine, but right under the carpet they put linoleum down so im not really sure whats under that, and if its worth pulling up. Id love to have floors like you got, that really looks nice. I grew up in a house that had wood floors.

A month from now your back will be fine, and you will still have nice floors. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Remind me never to move to Utah. I mean I am sure it is nice and all, but that house in my area would have been maybe 50-60k. Yeah, cost of living FTW over here. Hell I can build a 1500sqft house for right around 150k and be brand new, which is what I am thinking next year.
same house down here in a nice older neighborhood would run $15-25K for peeple with the know how on doing their own work. did the same last year, bought and flipped. looking at buying for sure this time.
