Hello everyone! Based upon the interest, ideas, and discussion sparked in this thread (link), we are going to move forward with a Holiday Donation Drive for the members of CarAudio.com. 100% of all donated funds (less PayPal fees) will be paid to the Make-A-Wish International Foundation. Their mission statement proclaims, "We grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy." The Make-A-Wish Foundation is an established organization and exhibits the ability to put at least 77% of their cash receipts towards the services they ultimately provide for children in need. Compared to many of the charities and non-profit's in existance today, 77% effeciency is quite good.

• This raffle will run through January 1st, 2005 and winning raffle numbers will be posted on January 3rd, 2005.
   
   
  
• Tickets will cost US $5 per ticket.
  There is no limit to how many tickets someone may buy. Your chances for winning will increase with each ticket you purchase, but you will only be eligeable to claim one prize, even if your number is drawn more than once.
   
   
  
• Winning ticket holders will be afforded the privilage to claim any one of the prizes as their own, in the order that their ticket has been drawn. Thus, the first ticket drawn gets first choice of prize; the second winner gets a choice of the remaining prizes, and so on.

By participating in this raffle, you are acknowledging and agree to the following terms:

• You are a member of CarAduio.com's online forums.
  
• You will provide your forum username & phone number along with your donation, for identification and prize-claiming purposes.
  
• If you are not available to claim your prize between January 3rd and January 8th, your position in the winner's queue will be forfeited and your name dropped to the bottom of the list for prize selection.
  
• Once your donation has been processed, your username will be listed along with all your ticket numbers in the following post for easy reference.
  
• For some prizes, the winner may be responsible for shipping expense. This will most likely apply to anything with significant weight to it. Exempted items will be noted.
  
• You may not hold any of the contributing sponsors, caraudio.com, or any of their respective managers responsible for any loss or damages resulting from your participation in this drive. Donate at your own risk.

How To Play

The winning raffle numbers will be posted on January 3rd, 2005 and winners will be notified by telephone.

From there, it is up to those who have won to post their prize claim in this thread. Failure to claim a prize by January 8th will forfeit your position in the selection queue.. so even if the winner listed above you hasn't chosen their prize yet, you should choose something, so that in the event that they do not come through by January 8th, you will be eligeable to move up in the selection queue with your claim. On the 8th, I will reorganize the queue to reflect those who have staken their claim, and place the remaining unclaimed winners at the bottom of the list until they are able to claim a prize on a first-come first-served basis. Any conflicting claims on the 8th will be handled with each individual winner at that time.

On a serious note, I will be keeping a running record of the cumulative contributions and updating that in one of the first two posts above, each day or so. At the end of the drive, I will be making a lump contribution to Make-A-Wish via credit card through their online website form. Of course, if there is a better way to do it, I'm certainly open.
