Hole in subwoofer cone?

I believe there is a small hole in my new subwoofer. It makes a small noise and a distorts when I turn it up a little loud.

The hole is not visible, but when I push on the come you can hear air coming from somewhere.

How can I find the hole and how can I fix it?

This is a brand new subwoofer, but it was a replacement for a blown one. I'd rather fix it than send it back in for another new one.

I suppose it could be a hole in the box, but it would need to be near the subwoofer, as the sound is clearly coming from near the sub.

As for the surround separating from the cone, wouldn't that be considered a hole?

Any ideas to find the hole?

Like has been suggested above, the most likely culprit is the way in which the sub is (or is not) sealed to the box itself.
