I guess no clue i talked to him for a little he said he would repair what was wrong and then send it back.

It sucks. If i didnt spend like however much i think it was like 350-four00 dollars on this i would be trying something else. But it doesnt eem like you can get a good alt anywhere but i could be wrong.

I have no Idea.

I build my own so I know its right and won't burn my Car or Truck down.

If your good with your hands and have some basic tools, You can order quality parts and do it yourself. That way you know under all that fluff and puff chrome that is nothing more then a hugh heat sink, Is a properly built unit.
