HO alternator size for two 15" L7's

i have my two 15" L7's hooked up to a PPI DCX 1500.1 and its killing my stock alt. I found a 150 amp HO alternator for like $280. Is this large enough or should I upgrade a little more. I have a long drive to work and i pound the hell out of these spaeakers so i want to make sure i have enough juice. by the way, my stock alt. is 105 amps if that will help. any advice.

i would try to get 200 amps, but if you dont have enough money the first one should do ok.

the 200 amps i saw were running about 450 bucks. i'm planning on getting a new ride in a few months and i would hate to invest that much and not be able to tranfer it to my new vehicle. is there a different option to help back up my alternator?

add some batts, upgrade wiring and batts. upgrade front batt maybe a yellowtop and add a yellow in the rear as well

x2 you can never have a too many amp alt. go with a min of 220.

if i upgrade to a red or yellow top do they store a charge better with the same strain on the alternator as my stock battery.

280 for a 150 amp LMAO i paid 3 something for a 275 amp.... upgrade your wiring and add a battery like tobias said.

yeah i can get an 300 amp for just about 300bucks. thank god for common cars. 110a alt should really hold you over if you are selling the car soon. i'm running ~that much power on my stock for now, have it turned way down though for subs sake.

I'm selling my yellow top for 115 if you're interested. I'm having to upgrade to Kinetik HC2400s because well.... 3800 watts is just a lot.

iraggi, excessive amperage. they are both that price range. iraggi has the lifetime warranty with the trade in option. it's worth checking out. but 280 for 150amps is not what you want. what kinda car is your new one gonna be? some cars cant get alts bigger then 180-200 so size of alt all depends on what car you end up getting.

if you have to upgrade from yellow top to kinetik 2400's cause of 3800 watts you have something else lacking. my yellow tops do jsut fine on 6k watts voltage drop is VERY minimal. even with 400+ amps of draw.
