HO Alternator + 0 gauge wiring, look okay?

That's the question.. If it's just for distribution I could just connect the 0 gauge straight to the battery and then wire an 8 gauge from the battery to the fuse box. I'm somewhat confused as to the point of that is. Re-running the the "stock" wire really isn't an option because of the location of the alternator, it would be much more trouble than it would be worth.

 
DO NOT WORRY ABOUT IT. Run the 0GA from Alt to Battery, then run the stock 8GA (or replace it with new wire) from battery to fuse block. No matter what, you're still making the same connection, just routed differently.

You just found your own solution. Move the DSP elsewhere. The RCA is triple protected but not the RCA plugs. I do not know if there is a mesh or...
