I have a pioneer 5 channel amp installed and when I have the music turned up to 9 or less it sounds perfect, crisp and clear. Once I get up to 10 or past I get a hissing sound. My stereo goes up to 60 but starts hissing at 10. I tried turning down the gains and that does not work. It still hisses weather I just lay music with the car on or off . I have my ground goes my to a bolt under my seat away from all other electrical. I used a grinder to grind the paint away to make it a good ground. Power wire is run on opposit side of vehicle from other amp wires but it only does it when it gets past 10. Any time read or suggestions ?

does it do it no matter what source u play?, could be rca/s.. do u have 3 sets rcas? play music unplug 1 set and so on see if noise is just on 1 set if so replace those.. some peeps need extra ground on amp and maybe even a 2nd 1 on hu..

I appreciate your response. I will give it a try tomorrow and see. I will post back my findings tomorrow evening
others my reply by them too.. pull rcas out of amp just put 1 set in at a time for front speaker see if only 1 set does it, if they all do it try them on rear speakers., if none do it on rear then something maybe wrong with front speakers, if only 1 set has noise thats the problem and either way this is easiest fix..
