Hilarious SPL Stories post here!

This chick told me her brother had some mexicans rewire his 10" sub to make it a 12" sub.
ROTFLMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is the funniest isht i've ever heard in my entire life!

I was at an audioshop not to long ago, and just as I was about to leave a guy that was outside was asking me what I had in the trunk, so I told him, and we were talking awhile about systems. He then insisted to me that he used to have an spl car that was a saturn that he used in some competitions. He said one day he and his friend were just playing around in his car, and he hit 170 while playing music in his car. This was supposedly done with him sitting in the car aswell. He said this really suprised him since its hard to acheive 170dbs while still playing music, and having your components keep up with it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif I didnt say anything, I just laughed on the inside. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

a guy the other day at bestbuy asked me if (2) 10" sony subs will break his back window.. cause he has a friend who has (2) 12" sonys and his window broke due to the loud massive bass they give off from there 1200watt (MAX) amps.

I think everyone has their "180 db" story. Guy told me his friend drives around all day with concrete doors and roof hitting 183 db. with 2 12" Type r's. I laughed at his face and walked away.

And yet another, was at bb the other day perusing the open box items. Two youngsters come in and ask the salesman about having an enclosure built for the sub he just got. The salesman told the dude he was going to need another sub otherwise he would not hear all the bass. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif Funny thing was, he was standing in front of a single 15" bandpass enclosure. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Same salesman but different customer. Customer asked what the best all around box for his subs. The salesman walked him over and pointed at a bandpass sitting on the floor. Told him this bandpass will make any sub 10x louder and sound better while doing it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i was at a small comp in ocala florida once and this girl said that her brother drilled holes in his box to make it louder. i asked "u mean a port hole, to put a pvc pipe through, and have a port right?" she then proceeded to say "no, like 30 1/4 inch holes in the side of his box" i laughed and said "it must have a lot of port noise" lol

allright im at the local shop over the summer to have them check on my L7's (the cone supports came unepoxied, they didnt know what was wrong with it) so anyways i come bumping in with my sx 15 and when i asked him to check out these subs and that there was something wrong he says "didnt sound like anything is wrong, those kickers pound!" at the time they were in a 1.8 cuft sealed chambered box i made up for them to make sure they worked alright. so after i tell him that the sub i was running was from resonant engineering, not the kickers he says, psht....never heard of that before, must be like the audiobahns. poor quality and dont get loud. and that box you have isnt made for that sub either, theres only like a inch room between the top and bottom of the sub. i proceed to tell him it is a fine box, 3.5 cubes tuned to 35 hz and he tells me, "wow you dont know anything, you need to tune that at like 20 hz to get the maximum out of that" i keep to myself and he says again, "I'd like to hear how ***** this sub is, cant be any better than the RF p2's we have inside, so i put on some bass mekaniks and he walks away, idk got a kick out of me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
