kid i was working with went to mobile dynamics in toronto. but before he left he showed me his badass system consisted or a pair of sony 10 is a sealed box, and a pair of sony 12's free air, all squeezed into the trunk of a sunfire. no form of crossover for the subs, because what i recall learning was that if you have 2 different size subs (granted they should be in enclosures) that you need some form of crossovers so they dont cancel out. his amps were also sony, along with headunit and other speakers. he wanted to go all sony cause it matched his car. so anyway he spent the 10,000 plus dollars to go to MD (yes it is this much because i was looking to go there. but when they sent me the loan papers i laughed at them, you cant pay the loan off early and it would be cheaper to put it on your CC with the apr that they had) and now he works at CC i talk to him from time to time, but never in depth and when i ask him how his job is going he usually becomes very quite.

another time i was in walmart with a friend, picking up some oil, and a oil filter. and from overe where they have their car stereo stuff i hear some kids talking, and one goes to the other, "YO man, 80 watts will make your $hit bump" i wanted to laugh at them to their face, but everyone starts somewhere right?

well this isnt so much of ann spl storyat it is just hilarious....i went to mobile dynamics (before they raised the price thank god) and there was this guy there who supposedly knew soooo much about everything audio related. he was always trying to correct the instructors and students and generally trying to show how superior to the rest of us he was. so when the week came to work on your own car he pulls up in his beat up Mitsubishi mirage and all this time he had been tellin us about his hot *** system of all rockford stuff cuz rockford is teh greatest. So he pops the trunk to revail a trunk ful of mdf we couldnt see any subs just a bunch of mdf seemingly thrown into his trunk so we are all wondering wth to he comes back and explains to us that he somehow packed 2 15's 2 12's 1 10 and 1 8 in to his trunk he never told us what he was powering them with but immediately we all died laughing then we get into the car to hear this monster only to see 4 6x9's in boxes on the back seat and 5 pairs of tweeters spread throught the pillars of the car...twas the hottest system ive ever seen

It does.. Assuming by bump he means just a little extra kick. But also he could've said it in that tone were he makes it seem like you'll break windows with that power. Then he's wrong.

well he was like BUMPPPPPPPP, as in blowing the windows out of the car down the streat bump, as in making the neighbors the next town over wet the bed... well maybe not he just made it sound like it would make it the loudest thing on earth.
