High Voltage system ?'s

Ok I was wondering if you have a high voltage system i.e. 17 volts will a amp thats rated at 12 or 14 volts fry if you hook it up or will it only take what it needs, I want to run 2 Ma audio HK598 (http://sonicelectronix.com/item_3754_MA+Audio+HK598.html) with either a pair of saz or IA amps, maybe a stetsom later on and I was wondering if this would be ok

If it's not rated at 16+ volts then you take a chance of it going into protect or frying it.

Double voltage can be done. GM and fords can be done with a module very simple.

Don't recommend it for a daily driver. A 16v battery is actually a 16.9v battery, and needs to charge @ 18.6/18.9v (roughly 2.6 to 2.8volts per cell 16v battery has 7 cells) to maintain a 16.9v system. Great for quick burps but sucks for extended play. Alot of maintenence for a daily set up. Hope this helps.
