Well I did a couple test yesterday I ran the yellow wire to a fuse on the inside that was a 12v with car on and nothing with car off. Also hooked up the stock wire momentarily to see if it help just by pinching it between my 0 gauge and the alt positive post. It seemed to help and rise and drop between 13.8 to 14.4. So when I went to take the stock wire off to make a proper mount for it the copper threaded rod came loose and sparked real bad scaring the Crap out of me. I then unhooked everything and tightend to rod back down and hooked the positive back up and it sparked and sounded and looked like it was shorting out some way. I tight end my 0 gauge back down and it seemed to be fine. It still idle's low voltage around 12.8 to 13. Man I hope I didn't mess anything up I'm a noob to car audio but I know basic mechanics of a car.In your fuse box under the hood there's a fuse that says "IGN" that yellow wire from the alt goes to that. Try that and see if that works.
