high input connection?

on my memphis pr.1000d it has these spots for (high input connections) where you put the signal of your left and right speakers into. what is this for? since this is a subwoofer amp, im not sure sure what this has to do with speakers.

you would use them if your hu didn't have rca outputs so that you could get your sound signal for the amp.
