High End 4 Channel Amp

I'm going to be using a McIntosh MX406 head unit,Focal 165KRC speakers in the front doors and behind the front seats CDT-ES-06.It is going in a Suzuki X/90.This is a small 2 seater car.The reason I am going with the CDT-ES-06 in the back is that the back of the front seats is about 2" to 4" from the speaker, the speaker will be facing the back of the front seats. So if I use a coaxial speaker instead of the CDT speaker in the rear the highs will just bounce off the back of the seat.I figured I would use the CDT for low end seeing that I'm not going to use a subwoofer.Does this setup sound O.K.

I'm new to car audio and need advise.I'm looking for a high end 4 channel amp with 100 to 200 watts per channel.I have looked into the McIntosh and Mosconi. Is there any other brands that I should look into. Thanks
Both are Great companys but Mosconi Is coming up quick with a Big Name. they may not look like much or may take up a lot of room but it is what's on the inside that matters, They are the bugatti of amplifiers.

That sounds like a great system. I wish I had a nice Mc HU, just be prepared that it will sound amazing, but it will be 100% basic no time alignment, no multiband EQ (only basic treble and base adjustment), no USB, but should have an AUX input. However once you get accustomed to listening to CD's on that system you are probably not going to want to listen to any other external media.

I like the surround sound effect you get when you have full range speakers in back. The problem with high frequency waves is that they do not carry and bounce like low/mid frequency waves. High freqs degrade much faster. This is going in a small cabin so probably won't matter, but personally I like full range speakers in front and in back of me. Its going to boil down to personal preference, there are a lot of people who use component speakers for the front stage and some subs in the trunk and no mid/highs in the back.

The focal speakers can be very bright, so you may want an external equalizer/audio processor to do some fine tuning and give you a means of having time alignment.

Rockford Fosgate 3Sixty.3

It has a lot of options for fine tuning. The market for audio processors/equalizers is kind of slim.

This one looks really interesting, but I would see how the system preforms as is before buying one.
