It's not really a secret that hifonics doesn't always do rated power.

HOWEVER, it doesn't mean that they don't do good power FOR THE PRICE. A BXi1610D is $220 brand new from sonicelectronix. A sundown 1500d is what, $400 easy?

Even if the thing only does 1200-1300 watts on a good electrical (which you don't have, BTW), the dollar-per-watt ratio is pretty darn good. Now sound quality is a different subject all together.

Well I'm running full 1/0 all the way back and a180 amp alt and yes it is louder than my bd and yes was even verified on a termlab that is was louder try around 7 db louder

7db is over 4x's the power in a perfect environment where heat and woofer limits aren't an issue...you're doing something wrong.

Impossible. Even if the Bxi12 did rated, its 1200rms. The bd is at least 1200rms. So lets say the Bxi is doing rated and that they are even......so how you gained 7db without increasing any power or cone area is beyond me. do you realize how much a 7db increase is?

this is the truth

that soundstream maybe handled your piss poor electrical better but hifonics amps are not trash if you know what your getting and know what your doing i bet if you kept the hifonics amp and put that money you spent upgrading to the soundstream towards your electrical your boat would be floating alot better

All we did was switch the amps out and maybe I got a fluke amp but the numbers don't lie and I'm doing a 141.7 on a termlab

Well, i believe that you can do a 141 on a brutus...what i dont believe then is that you only did a 134 on a bd when everything else remained the same...where did u peak on that score?

That Hifonics Is good, But I don't see it burning a Rockford fosgate. I think it was user error.

my guess is the rf was wired high and the hifonics was wired to a lower impedence

both at 1 ohm and i dont know other than my bd may had been going out the window but just stating what the diff was

no cause the speakers hooked up the same bridged on 1 channel
