Hifonics BXI2607D?

I just installed 2 of them strapped. 1 smoked before it hit a single bass note, but the other one is putting out a lot of power. I will be getting another 2607 in a couple weeks but until then I am running both of my AQ HD3 15's off of the 1 functinal amp. My question is what ohm load the amp is seeing. I have the subs wired seperate and parallel, they are Dual 2's so the DCR of each sub is 1 ohm. the BXI 2607 has 2 pos. and 2 neg. speaker terminals and I have each sub wired to a to 1 pos. and 1 neg, I am using all 4 of the speaker inputs. My question is do these amps internally parallel the subs for .5 ohm load or do they add the subs for a 2 ohm load?

.5 ohm. 1 smoked right away? thats no good.

last time i checked the bxi series isnt strappable, so thats maybe why you blew your amp, im sure some of these other guys will tell you

also the hifonics amps that are strappable are the xx series

Yeah pretty sure it was defective. The one that is still working is putting out a ton of power. The other one fried before the bass even hit and then it stayed on, in protect with my truck turned off, RCAs unplugged, and remote unhooked. It did not power down until I disconnected the power wire. It was strange, never had that happen to me before.

Can someone post a diagram of how to wire the amps to where I only have to tune one? I was just going to wire them seperate but I do not want to tune both, do I have to wire them strapped? If I do how would I wire 2 Dual voice coil woofers to a pair of these amps strapped? The manual shows one Dual voice coil woofer wired to a pair of strapped amps, but it shows a wire coming from each terminal, 2 pos. and 2 neg. from one woofer, one pos. and one neg. going to each amp. I do not have mine wired that way, I could but it would cost me more money for speaker wire, I have each sub wired seperate and parallel so each sub sees a 1 ohm load. Since I have them wired this way I only have one pos. and one neg. coming from each sub, not 2 pos. and 2 neg. how would I strap these amps the way I have them wired? Do I need to buy more speaker wire and run a wire from each terminal?
