Zx1500.1

Im thinking about getting a zx1500.1 and a 12" BTL when i sell a dirtbike ive been restoring. The BTL is dual .7 ohms so i could wire it in parallel at 1.4 ohms. Any idea what the Zx1500.1 will do at 1.4 ohms without any clipping? Also do you think my electrical system will handle it and a pdx-4.100? I have 1/0 kicker wiring, the stock 130 amp alternator, and stock battery. Haven't done the big 3.

thanks

and is it okay to run this amp at 1.4 ohms for 2 hours a day?

I wouldn't run that amp lower than 2 ohms mono.

And you'd put the coild in SERIES for a 1.4 ohm load.

If you plan on running that much power at least upgrade the alt to battery wire if you don't do the big 3.

amp will be fine at 1.4 ohms. I would get a second batt and you will be o.k. Expect around 1800-1900 at 1.4 ohms. That amp is a powerhouse and the sub gets loud. Good combo if you ask me.

should be fine but do the big 3 in 1/0 for sure. after you do that, put a multimeter on the positive and negative terminals of the amp and see how much the voltage drops. i'd say if you're dropping under 13v at idle, start looking at an alternator. might be ok with a second battery... but an alternator is the best way to go.

FWIW i run my kx2500.1 (same internals as the zx2500) at 1 ohm daily, but i have 2 yellow tops, big 3, and a 240a alternator. my voltage drops to 13.1 going full tilt at idle.
