Hifonics BXI1608D wiring question

I am going to be installing a system for a friend of mine within the next month. He is in the process of ordering the equipment now.

My question is: Will 1/0 power and ground wire fit in the terminals of this amplifier: http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=19581 ?

There is nothing installed in the vehicle right now, and I was thinking about running 1/0 versus the recommended 4awg., to save having to rerun wire down the line if he decides to upgrade. I am just curious if the wire will fit.

Thanks in advance for any help. I know someone on here has that amp, and can hopefully answer my question.

It is a very tight fit but can be done if you either a. twist the wire very very tight or b. trim some of the wire off. many do b.

Yeah trim a bit off around the end carefully so you don't fray it too much and then twist it tight and it will go.

DONT TRIM

DONT BE CHEAP just go online and get 1/0 to 4 gauge reducers....you'll never know when you wanna upgrade and when you trim the wire u are making that part of the wire smaller which will burn easier...thats like pinching the end of a water hose.

Ok...ended up going with the 1/0 kit and buying this.
