Unfortunately, too many people abuse the bass boost knob. I can't tell you how many idiots I have seen with the knobs cranked all the way up and I wondered why their setup sounded like crapdone correctly boost will never hurt anything, and yes guys go ahead and flame me now i have my nomex on //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
In fact, even back in the late 80s and early 90s a locally owned install shop would install EVERY Rockford Fosgate Punch amp on subwoofers with the bass at 75% and keep the knobs. If one was running a Punch on their mids and highs, they would set the treble at 50% and again, keep the knobs. It wasn't until recently that it dawned on me as to why they set their installs up that way..... You know how many subwoofers, coaxials, and/or tweeters they sold for setting the amplifiers this way?
