TREO 1500.1 question

Just got my new (new to me) Treo 1500.1 from adrian1185

and this thing is a monster

But i do have a few questions, the amp has two power blocks (+-,rem X2)

Both have what looks like a 4g slots, so do I use both and have two runs

of 4g to the trunk?

And the other one is the T-bass Gain (0dB-24dB) i heard that turning this thing to 24dB makes clipping more of a problem so what do i set this sucker too.

I loved my 1500.1, really underrated and powerful amp. Yes you have to use both sets of power and ground inputs. I actually used 2/0 wire trimmed down a bit to fit into the 4g holes. The inputs are too close together for reducers.

And you're gonna get mixed responses on the bass control, but since the treo has a built in clipping indicator go ahead and set your gains properly and then play around with the bass control.

the thing is I cant set the gain right under the clipping point

because that's too much power for my lil BL. But I was just

wondering if its OK to set the bass gain to 24 dB because it

hits pretty hard with gain turned down all the way with it @

24dB. I'm asking because i don't even know what it really does.

You are better off leaving the bass boost all the way down and adjusting the out put with the gain. If you're not getting the sound you like make some adjustments on the deck settings and then maybe dial in a bit of boost. but use the gain before you just jack the bass boost all the way up.
