is the hifonics brutus series any good? specifically the Hifonics BX1500d ? does it do atleast rated power?

Theres probably 546,431 threads on this floating around this forum alone.

Consensus seems to be: they dont do their rated power, but are good for the price.

I have seen birth sheet for them the 1500 put out a lil over 1300 watts @ 14.0 volts,not bad if u ask me for the money

but for now i only have 1 l7 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif so i just want to go ahead and pick up a somewhat large amp so later on i can just add another 4ohm l7 to make a nice 1 ohm load , so i would be correct in thinking that this amp puts out more power than the directed 1100/1500 series? even if it is just by a few hundred watts?

I thknk so,but I do not know what voltage the Directeds where tested,Anyway u go ur gettin a good amp.If it were me I would be unsure which one to get,cause the directed have the name,but the hifonics amp look so **** sweet!

theirs a bench sheet somewhere on the hifonics bx1500d..if i can remember somewhere in the high 1300's @ 14.1v and 900's @ 13v

i highly doubt it did 1300's at 14v and then dropped all the way down to 900's at 13v thats to big of a drop ever volt amps usally drop down 100-200 watts but yes that amp will be good with an l7 just watch the gains
