I would like to see some more "real world" testing/results as well. Fwiw I've been running an 80 amp fuse on both of my bxi-2006's for quite a while( even at a 1/2 ohm strapped for comps), I know its not really an indication of the power they put out but still...

realistically you dont run an average system at 10 volts....

Uhh...even at 12.5 volts you get over 2100 watts, and anyone running or trying to run that many watts should have the electrical to handle it anyway, so say 13.5 volts even which gives over 1800 watts at 80% efficiency. They rate their amps at 14.4 volts as do most others...so there's no reason to assume they don't do rated power.

if they draw a max of 169 isnt that 2028 at 12 volts?

I think some of ya'll need to re-think your math. Remember to calculate efficiency which is only around 70% for the brutus amps. Also you need to calculate voltage drop. You're not going to burp full tilt and still see a solid 14.4 volts.

I think you just may have forgotten what the manual actually says.Being the person that wrote the manual, I can assure you it did not say 169 max!

It is 200 amps.

I had that amp a couple years ago so its possible. No argument there. Also, I never clamped my amp for actual output. I didn't need to. In a head to head test my RF T10001bd beat the bx2005 by 0.1db on the TL so the bx2005 didn't stay in my truck long. I did later clamp that RF T1k to do right at 1596watts.

based on my experience with them...if ur really not getting the power out of them at least close to rated, its user error (ie not measuring properly...not having enough juice...not setting gains properly...somethin)...or maybe they just have alot of inconsistency.

I've heard much better about the 08's though so who knows
