so... about the amp problems... mine will still come on... but only for a few minutes... and i had the volume turned down the the gain is about 1/4 of the way up... 4 polk momo 4 ohm subs runnin at 1 ohm

well i'm at work and we've checked everything we can except the insides... i wired just one sub up at 4 ohms... gain turned down... tried new rca's... everythings gettin power but the subs will not play... i tried another amp and it worked fine... so i put the hifonics back on... we ran rca's from head unit to the inputs... and from the outputs on the brutus to my 4 channel zeus and the zeus played so the input on the brutus is good... but no speaker outputs :-( i'm going to get a local shop that repairs amps to check it out and see how much they'll charge to fix it... this sux soooo bad...

ok... do u guys think maybe mounting the amp on top of the sub box had something 2 do with it? **custom box with 4 polk momo 10's... 375w RMS going to each... i ran the amp at 1 ohm... anyone else has problems at 1 ohm?** maybe it rattled something loose inside the amp by mounting the amp to the box? it comes on... the rca inputs and outputs work fine... but the speaker outputs do not..

ohhh really? i coulda swore you said this...

hifonics bx1500d* (the real review)
if you are going to run this amp i suggest u use it for 1ohm and 1ohm only. i do NOT recommend you using this amp for anything above 1ohm whatsoever!!!!! hifonics is known for having pretty descent products esp., several years ago, which is why this was so disappointing to me. Another good note, the amp does stay prettey warm after hours of play.

bad info:

amp is hard to tune

road noise a lil higher than expected

the knobs can end up being pushed inside the amp

annyoing blue light - this is good for all u folks who want ur amp stolen in 1 week

overall if u want 1500 watts for 251 bucks off ebay, then fine its a good deal.

if you want 1000 watts for 251 bucks then u're getting the wrong amp b/c @ 2ohms u're lucky if u're gettin 750watts.

here's warren's specs on this amp (and no i have not bench tested the amp)

375 4ohms

750 2ohms

1500 1ohm

once again, i'm not trying to knock the amp or people that own it, all i can say is run it @ 1ohm if u're gonna invest your money.
i ran it at 1 ohm... it hit great for 2 days... now it has no speaker outputs... but yes i did read ur review

i mean... when i hook my subs... or any speaker up to the speaker output terminals... no sound comes out... and i'm trying but the warranty page isn't updated with any of the new hifonics amps... i tried 2 register the zeus zx4400 and the brutux bx1500d and it's not on there... i've e-mailed maxxsonics hoping i can get a new one... but we'll see how that goes...

"Any damage to the product as a result of misuse, abuse, accident, incorrect wiring, improper installation, alteration of date code or bar code labels, revolution, natural disaster, or any sneaky stuff because someone messed up, reapir, or alteration out side of our factory or authorisde service centers and any thing else you have done that you should not have done is not covered."

call them up... email takes too long - contact leslie (i think that's her name), she'll hook you up, just be sure to show them the proof of purchase, where ever you got it at. if over a year you'll have to pay ~$75 for a new amp
