hifonics 1505d amp... a smoker?

ok this is frekin weird as hell. just driving along, didnt have shit turned up to loud or anything and all the sudden me and my friends start to smell that smell.... u know the one.. burning electronics... so we folded my seats down and a bunch of smoke rolled out, subs are still running and everything, amp didnt go into protectoiin or anything like that. so i shut everything down and pulled into a parking lot thinkin maybe i popped a sub somehow. opend the trunk and turned it back on and almost immediatly smoke started coming from my amp. so i check all my wires everything was in tite no bare wire NOTHING.... so then we went to my buddies house and check on everything... the only thing that i touched is my fuses, took them out to see if they were blown or not and put them back in. then turned the system back on and expected to see smoke, so i could see for sure where it was coming from.... no smoke everything worked just fine... went that way for about 10 minutes then while we were in the drive thru at runza and then a loud *** tone started (this was at volume 3 by the way) and i shut it off turned it back on and worked fine again..... i dont know what the hell is going on, but im pissed none the less, any ideas on what the hell is happening to my precious hifonics 1505d?

no one other than from nebraska on this site will even know what runza is lol....btw, maybe it didnt go into protect mode and fried itself. w/e it is, that sux:crap:

how did you set the gains ?

His gains are set a little under half...not sure if he really measured where to put them though.

Listen to bholtmeier we have been buds for a while and he knows about everything in my system and i know all his (down to model numbers) anything he says on here is right. tho i am not new to this stuff im confident he is more knowledgeable... (er if that is how u spell it) but yea... if i didnt add this in the gains yes are set and a little under half, stereo west our closest stereo store said that should be more then fine for type r's. this setup worked great for months. it seems like i started noticing a big difference when it gets cold... but i guess that is usual.. non the less i am confused and scared that i might be out all that money...
