So i spent About 9 hours today getting my box in and puting my sub. I also added a eq so i had to wire thar and run that back to my amps. Got everything wire in and strapped down looking nice. I go to tune my sub amp its starting and from the factory is its on the highest 6v. So i turn it down to .2v and tune from there. The thing is that as i turn it up the fant bass gets lower. I set the hu is flat and the volume to 60 out of 62... but as im sitting trying to figure this out my sub begans to smoke... i dont know Whats going on. I even ran straightfrom the hu and got a very low signal. What am i doing wrong..

.2v is the highest on the amp u have it cranked all the way up 6v is the lowest setting and i bet 60 volume is too high and ur clippimg the **** out of it

Pioneer Complete Car Audio Package, DXT-X2669UI, 200W Stereo with Two 6.5" Speakers and Two 6" x 9" Speakers

Its cheap as hell but from what iheard pioneer deck really can be turned up close to max..... as far as the gains on the amp i turned it up and down. I was only able to the smallest response. i read i could be out of phase. I have my + to + and - to -... so i have it wired to 1 ohm.... i also read that re has f up and had the terminals mis labeled....so outside of my gains is the something else that could be wrong

The real good decks don't clip. 80 and 99. You don't have one of them so 75% volume should be safe. With 2v preout about 3/4 gain will be good. Remember you can listen to dirty music and it will clip no matter what.

double check your wiring as well. may have something wired wrong causing it to burn up. I haven't gotten a sub to smoke off just clipping; even heavy clipping, but I have smoked a sub by incorrect wiring.

Ok so set the deck to 45-50 which ihad it before i start reading all these post. Now is there a setting on the deck i need to change. I have it set flat with the bass off

So i turn it down to .2v and tune from there.
