Hey guys, cant decide on a good L7 Setup, opinions welcome!

Can the 15" L7 Handle 1200 Watts? I mean, the ZX1500.1 will do 1200W at 2Ohms, Or I could get a Dual 2 Ohm sub and have it take 1500 watts because the ZX1500.1 will do 1500W at 1 Ohm..
IM just afraid of blowing up the L7
they can handle more than that.

this is on an mm3000.1

and off a xx-colossus

So how about 2 10" L7's on a 1000.1 Amp?
Do I really need the 1/0 gauge, or can I get away with 4 gauge?
10 l7s would be fine on that power

4 gauge will be fine also for a 1500.1 .....

And CVXs IMO are great............ They are Loud and sound pretty good and they like sealed and ported boxes.....

So i recommend u get 2 cvx 12s wire them to a 2 ohm load (dual 2 ohm)on a zx1500.1 (1.5krms at 2 ohm)

and put them in a 3 cf box sealed and you will be fine and happy

Yeah I think im going to do the L7 10"s the 2 of them with a ZX1000.1 Amp and then run the 4 gauge with 100A inline fuse that comes with the kicker wire kit, and I should be good to go.

Should be one hell of an upgrade from my current system which I will have for sale as soon as I get my new one in the truck!

It wont be a big step up.......a small one actually......think ur going 12s to 10s.... the 10s are better but l7s are better for ported boxes so wont be much louder and definately not gonna sound as good.......but ur choice let us kno what u get...

Forgot to mention they are going in a 4 Ft^3 Ported box at 32HZ if that makes a difference....
yuh then there u go.....4 cf ported tuned to 32 hz with 2 10 inch l7s on a zx1000.1(be around 1200rms at 2 ohm) and it will be loud.....hope ur not shooting for sound quality

What ever u do get 2 dual 2 ohm subs......and wire each in series then wire then together and u will get a final load of 2 ohms (kicker amps are rated at 2 ohm......)

Thats what I had planned, Im sorry ha I forgot to mention I wasnt doing sealed anymore, someone really talked me out of it and EVERYONE told me for the L7's to go for ported, and I dont think they will sound bad at all since its 2 10's vs one 15 I figure it should have a nice happy medium for rock and rap..

Sound ok?

I cant wait to get all this shit, going to order it all on monday!

Is it harmful to run a ZX1500.1 on the 2 10" L7's? It will do either 1200 watts at 2 ohms which I can do with 2 subs in series to make a final load of 2... OR It can run 1500 at 1 ohm but I dont know how to wire the 2 Subs to make a final load of 1Ohm?

That would do the full RMS to the subs... And with 1500 a little more than the RMS rating, would it hurt them?

You think thats better than the ZX1000.1?

nope, two 10's will be fine on a ZX10001. Run it at 2 ohm.
