Hey guys just got back into the game after having the same system for a decade old RF 200ix pushing 2 (old school) punch power 15'S. So now I'm stuck obviously I like allot of low bass so here's my question. I was really thinking about the T1 12'S or digital design 12"s or 1 15" or 18". Money is an issue here because I just tore my truck apart (Xterra) ready for dampening and rewiring! I have a Xtant X124 hexagon now and a few random subs like a p2. but I'm done with the cheap shi* The amps I have now are a old school RF 200IX - P4004 and a phoenix gold xs4300 obviously I'm gong to have to sell this stuff even though I hate selling that Xtant sub for some reason! My question is ( a local installer tried talking me into going with 4 P3'S ????? any thoughts on where I shoud go with this complete rebuild would be appreciated!! so much like I said it's an 03' xterra so room is not an option as far as an enclosure... thanks guys P.S. should I scrap that xtant? I hear they are hard to find I just don't know what to ask for it? the p4004 is currently running diamond audio M6 separates front and back

The dd2500 series walk all over the t1s and the 3500 is even better but you have to go ported with dd. And the dd will want more power about 1000-1500 a piece not that the power is needed to be that high but they love 1200w were as the t1 only like about 800

i have to say the new p3 did impress me, hits alot lower, and is alot louder than the previous model. and if you go on ebay or amazon you can get them fairly cheap, and if you have an suv go with 6 i just made a box for a trailblazer the other day for 6 12 inch w3s surprisingly louder, and sounded better than i thought that it would.

The older p3s with the plastic cone actually get louder on the meter than the new ones in a direct swap out. I've tested this in three vehicles so far. But the p3 s take some abuse that's for sure. But really ssa icon Hella better or for lower power the dcon is a great option

I love my dd2510 prolly the best sub I've ever purchased and was really my first "real" sub. It sounded awesome with whatever I threw at it and I was only running 300-400 daily to it sounded just fine. Now before I f'ed up and blew it in a comp I ran it on a dd m1a at 1 ohm. Surely was a perfect match. I really need to get it reconed but I have no use for it ATM.

Fosgate isn't in the same class as Digital Designs. One only issue is going to be the cost. The MSRP for their subs is on the DD website... check it to see if it is in your budget. Another issue you would have would be powering those subs on a stock electrical system. If you ran a pair of 3500 series DD subs, I would recommend using around 2400 watts RMS minimum on them... meaning Big 3 upgrade and high output alternator... additional cost. If I can fit a pair of 3512 in a ported enclosure in the trunk of my Mustang, then you can fit them in your SUV. If DD is out of your price range, then I would look into brands like Sundown, Audioque, and SSA long before I spent my money on Fosgate. If you want to stay with more mainstream brands, look into JBL, JL audio, and Memphis for better quality then RF for comparable pricing. There are a ton of options out there if you research, if you post a budget, system goals, and preferred quantity and size of subwoofers, I will give some suggestions.

That depends on you. I sold off some gear a decade ago that I wish I had today. If you like the Xtant sub, then keep it. If you feel it is something you wont miss, then sell it on ebay or in the classifieds on here. Same goes for the amps and other misc. stuff. Xtant was bought by the company that makes MTX... and the quality has suffered. It is sad because I used to LOVE Xtant amps (some of the gear I regret selling). Come up with a game plan on what you think you would like to put in your truck and see if it is in your budget... then sell off your current gear accordingly.
