Alright. So the time has come for me to run active. Hopefully I don't end up needing new tweeters tomorrow.

Before I get started on this project anybody have some advice for me? I've been searching and searching for about a week already. Dediced to make a thread to ask a question or two.

First off, what should I use at an x-over point just to start with for my tweeters and roughly how much power.

And Hertz says the LP on the mid is 50hz or so. What should I set mine at? or Will it all be dependent on what I want/like?

Thanx in advance for any input. Wish me luck. If I don't post for a month or so, things more than likley went VERY badly.

yea im about to run active with my MLK2's when they come in, let me know what you end up going with

we know a few guys at hertz we'll probably give a call when we try and do it, i dont want to mess up a set of 600$ tweeters

why would you worry if your an authorized dealer? just get them warrantied if u blow them.

yea your right, i just hate dealing with warranty stuff:crap:
we shouldnt have a problem with them though, im not a dangerous person on my equipment
what amp are you using? im running the zapco dc ref1000.4 on my mlk165. well not yet, waitin for amps to arrive, i was thinkin bout the mlk2 but i drive a honda and im still in school, no need to spend a shit load on a system. ill be happy wit the mlk165's. i just wanna see how they react to like 400 watts like how lyttleviet had on his.

and roy's number ready to tell him I blew my tweeters cause I got front and rear confused.

Hell I guess if I blow em up, that means it's time to upgrade.

well im going to run all RF amps, so there will be a t600-4 on the front, should do ~150@4ohms per channel , rear gets a t400-2, bass gets a t40001

i coulda got audison amps, but i didnt want just 1 audison amp, and they are costly:crap:

make sure you have a 9v batt or drill batt to pop the speakers so you know exactly which ones you are hooking up where, dont want to get the wires backwards

quit giving excuses and go out there and do it;)
