If you are not a "habitual" driver of the car and this was an emergency trip, one time only to use the truck you may have better luck with the ins company. They want everyone who is a HABITUAL driver to be onrecord so they can jack your ins higher. Usually, if you own a car yourself and are paying insurance then the cost is not passed on to another person when you are listed. Having a different addy and explaining that you NEVER drive the car and he told you to do sometihing to it such as a pick up of supplies etc, (not job related!!) will help. Start the conversatoion about the wreck that you think the two guys are going to scam the ins company helps, Tell them you have video of them acting normal the faking the injuries. This shows you are going to save the company money and is a good faith thing. I, myself would get YOUR insurance resolved BEFORE handing over anything about the guys to anyone besides the police.
Was invoilved in similar, two guys hit me on purpose in a lot when I was about 19, then claimed pre existing damage to car was my fault. Since I had already called my agent and explained that two guys in a wrecked firebird were trying to tell me that they needed cash or they would go after my insurance, things got real easy ( truth, also, tried telling me it would go away for $100)
Good luck dealing with the scammers, and remember NEVER NEVER NEVER talk to their insurance company, for ANYTHING. They will call you on phone ask for "a few simple qs" next they blame you. Tell everyone to talk to you agent assigned to incident and refer to police report on it. Say NOTHING!!! Put NOTHING in writing unless it is the accident report, keep it short, consise and Factual, "I was stopped, turning etc then he passed a car and hit me on wrong side of road" Dont make a book report. It was their fault and believe it, repeat it, live it, if you are SURE and fell this it will be reflected in your statements and your attitude. Ins agents deal with scammers all the time they have good BS meters.
My agent is a local friend and is great about giving me tips after the only two accidents I have had. One is still unresolved and although I wont have to pay a scammer wants 100K from my ins company
Good luck and chill, its only steel and plastic, you werent hurt the rest is cake and wont matter 10 years from now
