helpppp my car keeps dying b/c its not getting enough power

Ok my car keeps turing off when i have my system on with other electronics. the lights dim extremely then the cars RPMs just drop and nothing electrical works. i have a 1000.1 kicker amp. i also have a capacator. i need some advice. would i be able to put a spare battery in place of the capacitor or should i just upgrade my alternator. i have a 70 or 80 amp alternator now im not 100% sure but it 1 of those. if i should upgrade my alternator what amps would you recommend.

I need to know asap thanks.

if your car is shutting off your alt is dead. time to get a new alt there buddy.

You probally need to check the batt as well it should of kept up with surges,and check the batt. terminals

no way a single battery can keep up with the surges if the alt is dead or dying.........but yeah the battery probably needs charged up once he gets a new alt.

If your car is shutting down than your battery is getting destroyed. Don't run ANY aftermatket electronics in the vehicle until the ALT AND battery are replaced.

Your battery might be sufficient to start the car but with the abuse you're been placing on it, I wouldn't expect it to last long.

I learned this lesson the hard way when I was running my car on my battery after my alt died years ago.
