The HU won't power an active setup at all. If you mean which ones have the crossovers needed, try asking in the HU forum. I know that the high end Pioneers (and Premiers) and Eclipse units do. The Alpine 9887 do also.

Are you talking about the wire to connect the sub to the amp? Depending on the amount of power that you're running, 10ga is usually well more than enough. Stinger Expert is what I've used in the past. Knukonceptz has their Karma Kable available in 8 and 10ga also.

i dont like kenwood HU's, but i have the pioneer 880, and i love it. has the 16 band EQ, 3 way crossover, its got tons of settings that you can adjust and pretty much get it sounding just as you want it.
