Help

so im new to this forum, and not really new to car audio but my knowledge is not really extensive.

i have 2 clarion 10" subwoofers single voice coils powered by a jl audio 500 watt mono block amp. and my issue is they worked perfectly fine when i installed them for about 2 months then about 2 weeks ago they started just cuting out. the problem there was that the connections on the inside of the box were loose and it would just come undone during driving, my buddy fixed this bud when he re wired it the subs lost a lot of boom... LIKE ALL OF IT pretty much. so we re wired them again and now next to nothing is commin out of my subs and there out of phase any suggestions???

Check your wiring configuration, make sure you are at the ohms load that the amp can handle...more than likely 2ohms if its a JL amp, most are 2ohm stable mono/bridged, the SVC 4ohm subs to one ch will be + to +, and - to -, and same on the amp for 2ohms load.Take subs out , and make sure you have the wires on the right terminals.

the subs are in the right terminals + to + and - to - i dunno whats going on tho. could my amp possibly be shitting the bed?
Possibly..You have another amp laying around that is 2ohm stable Mono/bridged??Just to test with??Doesnt have to be CRANKED UP! jsut a little to see if they still bang.Or maybe you can take the amp and get it tested out at a car audio shop, some charge nothing at all if they have time to kill
