Hearing CD 'spinning' noise through car speakers, VERY ANNOYING!

Hey guys, i have an Alpine CDE-9874 CD receiver installed in my car and lately whenever i play some CDs through it, it seems to have a hard time reading the CD at first and then when it does start playing there is this REALLY annoying sort of tapping sound that can be heard through the speakers along with the music. Its kind of like i'm actually HEARING the CD spinning through the speakers, and it totally ruins the listening experience! Now, it doesn't happen with every CD, many of them work completely fine with no issues whatsoever, but others sometimes won't even work at all. I should also mention that my Alpine unit is not exactly secured properly into the dash; it was at one time, but eventually became jostled loose after going over one too many big bumps i suppose. I can push it back into its original position, but it doesn't stay in like it should and just kind of sticks out a tiny bit, and it comes out more and more the more i drive. I think my main issue is probably related to that, but i really have no experience in this field so i can't say for sure haha.

Any suggestions/ideas you can offer me would be GREATLY appreciated!!

are the CD's your having an issues with actual factory produced CD's or burnt from a computer? And is the problem consistant, such as this particular cd always does it and these never do, or does it seem to just happen randomly every so often?

yes the CD's i'm using are all factory produced and most of them are close to brand new, and they all work completely fine in other car CD players and home audio systems. and yes the problem is consistent; the ones that play without issue ALWAYS play without issue, and the ones that do have the issue ALWAYS give me trouble

IonRL205 has a point with the new encoders that are avaliable and these new mp3 only players with like 26 bit A/D converters, you can completely eliminate your problem and get uncompressed quality, but if your a CD person, as am I, then it does sound like the player is having issues. Perhaps the A/D is picking up a sample bit where it shouldn't be...
