Hello everyone:

I am new to this forum and just thought that I would share a project I am working on.... I have been out of car audio since 2002 and am just now getting back in it. I have noticed that there are not to many audiophile options out there as there seemed to be when I used to build my systems. I had a 2006 350z with the bose in it and now I have a 2007 WRX STi that I am building a system for. Here is my plan and tell me what you think about it.

Pioneeer AVIC-D2 in the dash

CDT Audio EuroSport 620 6.5's up front

US Amps MD43 to push the fronts

2 RE Audio SE12 12' subs in a Fiberglass box that I am in the process of building.

US Amps MD2D to fire up the subs.

Stinger 5 farad cap

Dynamat the entire car

0 Ga Power and Ground

Stinger 12 Ga Speaker wire

Monster (Top of the line) RCA Cables (2 and 4 ch)

Anything that looks weak point it out and let me know.....

what do you mean no audiophile options? There are still plenty of top end companies (tru, audison, mcintosh, etc.)

No reason for the Cap, going to do that, get a better battery.

1. No cap and buy a Kintek or some other batt. instead

2. Monster cables aren't any better than many others, just more expensive. Search and you'll see.

no offense, but your setup doesn't really say "audiophile" to me

for one thing, if you're gonna go for SQ, you're almost always better off running active instead of components.

ditch the cap. it probably won't do shit for you. monster cable is overpriced and overhyped. if you can fiberglass your own box, you can DIY your own RCAs.

Secondskin or Raamat would probably be a better choice than Dynamat

IMO, you should head over to diymobileaudio.com/forum and just spend a good month or more doing just doing your homework on DIY setups.

Your subs look like a good choice though. lol

screw the cap buy a good battery upgrade big 3 with 0 gauge
