What size sub?

I have a 02 quad cab dodge( full 4 door ) and I bought a box off ebay, then subs off a guy on SD, subs are blown, box aint worth a crap, and I'm tired of it.

I'm going to custom build me a box under the back seat

Here's the dilemma, the box I have now, as stated, is about 1.2^ft before displacement(entire box) well I'm just going to make it for one sub

Should I go ahead and build it and put a ported 10 or a ported 8 in there? Help? I intend to do it right( I also need a box design here, or someone who will ehlp me with how big to make the port)...

Anyone?

Question

Is say, .60 after port area, enough for a ported 8? If so, would two ported 8's of decent nature do all right for me in this situation?

As the box sits(I can expand it another say .2^ft per sub), I have .62^ft before displacement per chamber, so figuratively speaking, if I have .85 roughly ^ft per chamber, minus the port area I'll need and displacement of sub, will that be enough room?

And if so

Can someone help me figure out how big/long of a port I need? As small as the box is, I'm not sure that I want to go 4", maybe only 2?????

Help? Please?

I need ideas

I considered the single ported 10 Idea, and although it might work there is an elevated area where very little air can pass through - And I'm afraid this might affect the box. Two ported 8's is the best way, it seems, to go. Or no?
