Help Woring up

2 pioneer 12's svc 4ohm, 600 watt peak 150 rms, and 1200 watt class d amp mono block, was told need to wire 1 sub to the other then to the amp, currently have it each sub meets at the amp block, i guess if daisy chain the amps and omly 2 wires at amp its 2ohm that way, i have it 4 wires at amp 2 hots 2 grounds, ??

i have both hots together both neg together than to amp which is 4 wires at amp, been told need to link the subs (+ to +) (-to-), then only 2 wires to amp, but seems same to me either way

buy a better amp when you have the money. that amp is rated

150W RMS output @ 4 ohms with 1% THD

225W RMS output @ 2 ohms with 1% THD

400W RMS output @ 1 ohms with 1% THD

so that 225W is split to each sub (when wired in parallel). expect less than 100W to each sub - which isn't much.

more output will be had with a nicer amp.

whatever you can afford. At local shops: Rockford Fosgate, Alpine, Kenwood, Pioneer, etc. Online: Sundown, Powerbass, etc.

better yet, check the classifieds. I have a 500W RMS @ 2 ohm Kenwood amp i'm selling for around $100. It's twice as powerful as your Insignia. There are a lot of those kinds of amps out there for sale.

I happen to have an Autotek bts 7050 44watt amp for 140 shipped that will beat the tar out of those subs at a 2ohm load near 12 oclock position and is quite clean.Just took it off of an Audiobahn AW1006t 900rms dual 4 10 in. and was in a 3/4mdf at 1.6cuft with a 3in portx 8.5 built myself and was hitting at 128-134db!!

got a massive nano n2 that is twice the power of your amp too.800 watts rms at 1 ohm and 400 at 2

Sometimes it is confusing to try to wire up subs by way of someone telling you how ect. But i believe you can go to Sonicelectronics.com and try to find your sub and down at the bottom you choose wiring diagram,and choose how many of the subs to wire up,and at what ohms value you want or what your amp can handle.It is prob easier to see directly and you may be able to print it out also to take with you to the car to wire up!! @ ohms Be sure to turn the gains down on the amp and tweek it after hooked up ,I had my Autotek 99 mean up at 1pm and didnt realize it and blew 4 svc 10s lol!! Temp set up till I got my 2 Monsters back!!
