amp wiring question

Right now I have a 4 gauge tsunami power wire with 6oa fuse going to a block with 2 8 gauge wires goin to my 2 amps.I'm getting a 5 channel(900w max and 25x3=75a fuse rating)and was wondering if I can just use the tsunami 4 gauge and change to a bigger fuse(80a or 100a) for power as its already run through the car.I think I would also just need a couple feet of 4 gauge for ground.I've never installed an amp but this would save me money and give me the satisfaction of doing it myself(kinda).I think I would just disconnect from the distribution block and connect the 4 gauge power and turn on wire and change the ground wire to 4 gauge. Then just connect the speakers, sub, and rca's as everything should already be there. Does this sound about right?

i agree, it sounds good. make sure to use proper terminals when making connections - when you're done no bare copper wire strands should be visible (before any electrical tape is applied). remember that electrical tape is for insulation only, and not for holding connections together.
