Help with wiring

okay my amp is kinda ghetto at the moment but I'm living with it till I can find a sundown audio or power acoustiks. but im wondering i have a capacitor hooked up and my cousin did it for me. Im pretty sure he was stupid and wired it wrong. the ground wire coming from my truck goes to my capacitor then theres another ground wire coming off of that capacitor to my amp ground port.

isnt the amp supposed to be grounded to where the capacitor is grounded instead of on the capacitor?
