ok so i have a 500 watt amp ran with 4 gauge now i want to add a bass amp with about 3-4k rms so should i just take out my run of 4 gauge and replace it with 0 gauge or is there a way to add the amp with out doing that because i dont want to waste wire. my other question is will i need to add another battery? or upgrade my alt? im planing on doing the big 3 before i even get the amp

with a 4k watt amp you need a 400 amp alt 2 big bats and 0 to 00 gauge wiring to the 2nd and 3rd bats then use all that 4 gauge you have left to run your amps to the bats in the back, make sure to get all your fusing done right and dont just not do the math in it or you will hate yourself.

ok so i need to pull out all my 4gauge and put 0 gauge in stead? ill have a dist block from 0 gauge to 4 gauge for my 500 watt amp then 0 gauge for my bass amp. and ur telling me i need a battery in my trunk so in total i would have 2 runs of 0 gauge from my hood to my trunk? and what battery would u recommend?
