So I just purchased 2 12 re se x subs that was already loaded in a box. The box has slot ports on both sides. Wanting to know what info someone would need to tell me what the cubic size of the box is along with the tuning.

Do you want the easy way or the other easy way?

The easy way would be to measure the interior dimensions to find the volume of the enclosure. Plug that into a box design software. Then, measure the dimensions of the port. Set your port area. Change your tuning until you get the length of your port.

The other easy way takes a little math. Solve for frequency and plug your variables.

Fh = Resonant Frequency

Lowercase Nu = Speed of Sound

A = port area

Vo = Static volume

L = port length
