THE WHOLE THING!!!
Jmac, i know you can help me with this one. I d/l'ed the new update, tried to follow the instructions to the best of my ability, but i'm not sure if it worked. How can i check? What subs were in the old one, but not in the update? Any other little changes can help me too. I just wanna make sure i did this right.

There are no new subs in the new one, you were supposed to extract the files into your old WinISD Pro directory ...
If you didn't change the location, it would be C:\Program Files\Linearteam\WinISD Pro
Well, i have no idea how to do any of that stuff. I'm not a computer wizz, so i don't know. I figured there would be a few changes made to something, like some subs would be removed and there would be little changes here and there. Everything is the same??

Ahh, awesome. I think it worked. It says WinISD 0.50a7. That's what it should say right? When i open WinISD from my desktop?

And whats this stuff about deleting files? Do i have to delete files or should it automatically do it?

Sorry for being a pain in the a*s.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

EDIT: God i'm slow. How do you remove the icon from my desktop?

It doesn't automatically do it, you have to do it yourself.
To remove the icon from the desktop, right-click on it, click on Delete, and then click on Yes

Yes, it should say 0.50a7 ... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Awesome. It all works and has the new features(EQ's and stuff). Thanks Jmac.

While i got your attention here, i need some help with a couple boxes

1. I want to build a comp box for my 10" SE. I was looking for 3 cubes tuned to 45 hz. It can only be 20" tall and as little depth as possible(it's gotta fit behind the seats in my regular cab).

2. I was thinking about getting another 10" SE and putting both in a big *** comp box. This one can go to about 22", but less is preferred, and as little depth(hopefully

Oh, and for the maximum width is 50". the sub will be firing upward.

Subs are the same as you had in your old WinISD Pro ... Basically, 3 files were replaced and you were supposed to delete a file from the old WinISD Pro. WinISD.exe, versions.txt, and versions.ini were all replaced, and unitindex.dat was supposed to be deleted.
Before anything, enter C:\Program Files\Linearteam\WinISD Pro in a new window (just copy and paste in the address bar). If it comes up as "Page Cannot Be Displayed," then you have WinISD in another directory, in which case you'll have to search for it.

If WinISD Pro is in the location specified above :

Download the file again :

http://koti.mbnet.fi/jahonen/Audio/WinISDpro/WinISDProUpd.zip

Save to desktop

Right-click on file

Click on "Extract Files ..."

Paste C:\Program Files\Linearteam\WinISD Pro into Destination Path

Click OK

Click on Yes To All

And you're done //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

alright i got a question i didnt have the old winsdid but i just clicked on that link and downloaded it but then when i go to new project there aint any drivers to choose from its all blank

Exterior Dimensions :Height = 20"

Width = 48"

Depth = 11.5"

Thickness = 0.75" MDF

Gross Volume = 4.9783 ft^3

Driver Displacement = 0.14 ft^3

Port Direction = Firing Up

Port Depth = 10"

Port Width = 8"

Port Area = 80 square inches

Port Height = 20"

Port Displacement = 0.93677662 ft^3

Net Volume = 3.9 ft^3

Tuning Frequency = 45.9 Hz

WinISD Pro predicted peak output = 47.24 Hz

WinISD Pro predicted peak port velocity (1000 watts) = 16.758 m/s @ 46.09 Hz
This is for the 2 SE's right? I would like one for one SE too. i think 3 cubes tuned to 45 hz would be good for burps right?

Also, what is the smallest cubes that you can port an SE with?

BTW, is the 11.5" top enough to mount the subs?

EDIT: Shit, it says the port length is 20", but the box height is only 20". I saw the diagram, but something doesn't look right to me. Maybe i'm just a retard. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

No, that's for one SE10 ... You should be able to mount it firing upwards (add another 1/4" or 1/2" to the depth if it doesn't). As for the port, it's 20" long ... You have 0.75" where the port exits the enclosure, then the height of the enclosure internally is 18.5". Measure down the center and it's 14.5" before it turns, so length is 15.25". Then it has 4" to the wall of MDF, that makes 19.25", then the 0.75" thickness of the MDF itself makes 20" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
So is the 10.5" long piece the only one i need to make for the port? I look at that diagram and don't really understand it. Also, is that box better for the 10" SE? I was thinking more ~3 cubes, but if this one is better that's cool. Sorry for not understanding, i'm just not getting this port length thing.

"Measure down the center and it's 14.5" before it turns, so length is 15.25".

-This is the part i don't get

Basically, when you measure a port, you measure directly down the center of the port. So, since we have an 8" port here, we need to measure 4" from either side (Down the middle). Now, it's 19.25" from the port exit to the back wall, but we measure 4" from the back wall, so that length is 15.25". Then we measure down the center to the port entrance, which is 4.75" away from that point to get 20". If you want, you can always add more port length by adding more MDF to make an "L" shaped port. Try another 2", should reduce tuning to 45 Hz //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
Wow, that took long enough;). So, to answer my question, the only piece i need to make that is part of the port is that 10.5" long piece then? Correct? That is all i really need to know:)

Yes, that's all you need //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Beautiful. Or i can add that 2" piece and tune it down to 45 hz. I talked to rangerman and he said the box his SE was in was tuned to 42 hz. He hit 145 with it. I was hoping to accomplish the same thing. How much would i have to add to tune it down to 42?

EDIT: if you don't feel like doing the calculations it's cool. He said both would work good. I was just trying to get the same results he did. :thumbs_up

Well, I don't have access to a calculator (not even a scientific calculator and the calculator on her computer keeps getting errors and closing) here, so I can't really calculate anything other than simple addition, subraction, multiplication, and division. I was just guessing that the extra 2" would bring tuning down to 45 Hz (possibly slightly lower).
If you really want it tuned lower, add another 6-12" to the length. Not sure on the tuning of that would be, but I'd guess about 3.75 ft^3 tuned to ~43-44 Hz for the 6"
Sweet. Thanks Jmac, i really am considering tuning it lower than 45 hz. So i think i'm gonna go with the extra 6". If you could calculate the exact number sometime that would be awesome.

I'll be home tomorrow afternoon, should be able to do it then //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Sweet. Thanks alot man, your really helping me out.

Oh, and rangerman said i can port my box? I tried getting the exact cubic feet off of eatel, but i dont think they are right. If i give you the dimensions can you calculate it?

Length-50"

height-20"

bottom depth-6"

top depth-4"

Thats the main part, then the part the sub is attached to(see my gallery) comes out another 3'' from the bottom depth, is 3" taller, and is 16" wide. I know this is a b*tch to calculate.
