hey guys im new to the forum and need some help. i am on a limited budget and have an 07 dodge ram 4 door. i want to put some bass in it and got quoted for 2 jl audio 10w1's a 500 watt jl audio amp a custom box and installation and wiring for 700 dollars. Now my first question is do yall think it will be ok to run this with the stock speakers and radio? and 2nd is this an ok price? let me know yalls opinion

you can do it for WAY cheaper than 700 with different equipment. And JL is known more for sq. Running them off a stock hu with LOC and stock speakers would be like taking a kick to the nutts

^^for real. For 700 bucks you could get a nice complete set-up including new deck and speakers. Just kinda have to look. Were you having the shop install it because you cant, or because of convinence?

**** i thought the 700 was a good deal.... i dont know where else to look to get a new deck and speakers along with the subs and amp and installation? i thought the 700 was good for what i was getting. what would yall recommend to get for 700? I might go back to the place i went and tell them that this is what i want and for how much i want??? help me out yall please....

you need to invest in new headunit too man replace that factory unit.You can do better with 700 to spend.Take a look on the classified here and try woofersetc.com

Either a 12" or 15" and have someone on here build you a custom ported box.IDSkot I thinks that's his screename designs and builds them for the cost of parts and shipping.

op, you can also check out crutchfield.com if you are wanting a warranty from an athorized dealer. Their stuff is about at retail price, but they do have kick *** specials often. Check those out.
