Help with sub woofer wiring inside enclosure...

I got my enclosure today... I’m assuming I will drill a small hole in the wall between the two of them, just big enough to run the wire through (to wire in series) and caulk it up... can anyone tell me the best thing to caulk that hole with is?

I also guess I’ll use spade connectors on the inside and prefferably solder them on...

Any advice is appreciated... I know a lot of my questions sound dumb, but I want to be armed with as much info as possible to do everything right.
