Help with Sub choice

Hello Guys & Girls

I need help choosing between three subs for a single 12 setup.

I had these three subs in mind:

RL-p 12

IDQ12

ID12v.3

I am looking for SQL but lean more to SQ

I listen to mostly 80's Metal I.E. Metalica, AC/DC, G&R but I do listen most types of music.

I was thinking sealed or I might go ported with a low tune. (~28Hz)

I am looking to use a clean 500-600 watts to power it.

I was looking at the Polk C500.1, but would like to know if there is a 600watt amp at this price range. ($400) Has any one heard anything on this Amp?

Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated.

with 500-600 youll blow both ID's very quickly. and for amps check the classifieds for some. theres a few threads on people selling some xenon's and some jbl's.

are you talkinb about 500w for each sub, or split over all 3 of them? anyways the rlp is the best sub on that list.

I had 2 id 12 great sq but they really didnt get that loud.

the id's will handle fine just be gentle with the gain. the idq will handle the power a little bit better, but it's spl may leave you craving for something a bit louder. The id will probably be what you want as you are leaned more towards SQ.

This is a single sub Configure so I think it is between the RL-p and the ID any other comments opinions.

what r u serious thats what the rms is 500 range

500 is max. like said above a single idq would leave you wanting more spl, but i havent heard an rlp.

Thanks guys for the input, I think I will go with the RL-p. Ihave read alot about this sub over the last week on this forum and it looks like it will fit my setup very nicely.

Now I still need some amp help. I posted in the Amp section but have not got any response about the Polk. I am tring to have a clean install with a 4chl. and a monoblock of the same brand and style. I want clean power and am willing to pay for it, at the same time I dont want to have to brake the bank. The Polk amps are $400 each that seems to be a good price for clean power. I want new stuff not used. I like having a warranty.

RL-P FTW, I just picked two 12's up to run off my Merlin. They should sound pretty good in 4 cube tuned to 32 with ~900wrms a piece, and ran with my Audiocontrol Epicenter //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
