mag is gonna be more expensive than the others,

"from what ive read" an idmax wont have the output like the others, but i could be wong

ive only listened to a Q out of those and it was very nice, but i doubt you could go wrong with any of them

After doing a little more research it looks like the budget will restrict the contest to the Q and the Icon.

I hear a lot of good things about the Q but I also hear they have tinsel lead issues. Haven't heard much at all about the Icon.

Yep the budget puts it between the Q and Icon. Both are capable drivers. Look around at some reviews.

Q sounds very good in the right box and will get pretty loud also. Have you heard/considered an HD? IMO they sound very good SQ wise and can get very loud when you want them to...
