Help with Sub and Amp

What about an enclosure? Also, why do you ask for advice yet ignore almost all options posted? Not bashing in anyway, just wondering.

I think Im going to get Alpine MRP M500 amp and one Alpine SWR-1243D type r

people here like the type R, and 500 watt amp for $142 from amazon isnt bad at all. put it in a ported box, should be nice budget setup

will any ported box do the job I found the optimum size for a

ported box which are 13.5" x 13.5" x 24"

and the sealed box 14.5" x 14.5" x 10.5"

are there any boxes around those sizes or would I be better making one myself which I doubt(be better).

i think most ported boxes u buy, arent tuned correctly. thats what people on here say. i have never bought one, i always build mine.

if u go sealed, u could get away with buying a box, just match the cubic feet

if u wanna build ported, here is a 1.75cubic foot @30hz tuning box design, should show u everything u need to do it

For optimum performance you are better off building a custom enclosure or buying a custom enclosure. Not really any other way, prefabs are typically tuned high and have incorrect air space.
