Help with strapped Amps

Hey,

I am running 2 Hifonics BXI 2601D's. They are 2600X1 amps. I am trying to tune them to 2000 watts a piece, as thats what my xxx's handle. My confusion is in the fact that they are strapped. I have them at a 2 ohm load, but strapping the amps makes it a 1 ohm load. Do I only tune master amp??? What lead do I disconnect, and what volatge do I aim for. I have tuned 1000/1 JL amps before and it was a breeze,, any help is appreciated in how I properly do this. As is probably obvious i do not have an o-scope and will be using a DVM.

I never had any experience with hifonics amp but my guess is you have to match both amps. But strapping both amp to 1 ohm load is dangerous since each amp will be doing 0.5 ohm

They are strapped at 2 ohms only making them a 1 ohm load!!! I already did it wrong before and fried one lol They are strapped right this time
