hello guys

i have a pioneer deh-p5000ub for h/u with stock speakers. i'm adding a sub set up soon but i'm not sure which amp should i get. should i get a multi channel for expandability (in case i want to upgrade my stock speakers later and need a good amp to drive them) or should i get a mono channel just to drive the sub? let me know thanks!

it depends on your goal.

If you're looking to just add a little something in the subwoofer freqs just get a mono and a small sub -- you probably won't need an amp for your stock speakers if they're decent at all.

If you're planning a seriously powerful - LOUD - sub set up you'll need aftermarket speakers and a good sized amp to keep up anyway. So it's up to you which one you do first in that case.
