Help with some Subs

depends on what subs and amp u get.

if u get the AQ750 and the two jbl 12s, run the amp at 1 ohm

if u get the kicker amp and 15" jbl sub, run it at 2 ohm

if u get the hifonics amp and alpine subs, run it at 2 ohm

You got this down haha, Im thinkin about going with the 2 JBL setup, I dont need a capacitor or any of that do I. Basically need my amp, Speakers, and the box + wiring and im good right?

Edit: Klash, is that going to hit as hard as 2 12 JBLs tho? Plus Idk if a 15 is gunna fit in my Trunk, IK a 12 will but a 15 is pushing it, anything with 2 12s?

You won't need a capacitor, you don't even need to upgrade your electrical system until you're pulling over 1000+ watts.

alpine is good too, he could even get some FI.X 10's or 12's for a decent price too, not sure how those would hold up to the alpines and all that.

the two jbl 12s on the AQ 750 should be fine without a capacitor. i run 870 watts with no electrical upgrades or capacitor.

and yes two 12s will get louder than a single 15 off the same power. the 12s have more cone area, which moves more air

the 12s would be louder, but they might not get as low as the 15. It depends though, some of the cheaper subs don't dig down so well, but the JBLs might not have that problem.

ive never bought from that techronics website, so not sure if they are good. they are better business bureau certified though, so should be fine.

ya depends on the subs

I'm not trying to get you to do what I was saying, I was just letting you know there are more companies beyond JBL and Audioque.

I have no doubt you'll be very happy with everything Cruzer listed.

there are more companies for sure. all depends on what u want to spend, and how u intend to set everything up.

if u were going ported, your options would be really opened up, but that requires u to build a box. would probably have u check out the ssa dcon, but sealed it doesnt look to be any louder than the jbls

just make sure u get the right configuration on the subs so u can wire them correctly

Can you expand on config the subs a bit. and you cant buy ported boxes? Im lookin at one right now, wasnt gunna buy it but came across as I was looking for a box.

you can buy a ported box but from what ive been told they are not tuned correctly. u could try it if u want. maybe others can chime in on this, but i think most people around here dont recommend it.

my first setup was two 12s in a sealed box with a 400 watt amp. it was plenty loud. im sure your two 12s off 750 watts will be plenty for a first setup.

wiring the subs to the amp. if u buy the wrong configuration, u might not have enough power, or u might have too much power going to the subs.

if u get the JBL GTO1214D 12" Dual 4 ohms, it will wire down to 1 ohm on the AQ 750 amp which is perfect. both subs will get 375 watts, and they are rated for 350 watts. so they wont blow, and they will get loud.
